Three meters high mandala was decorating square in Pezinok

The foundation REVIA prepared for visitors of Pezinok Vintage mandala creating. Round schema with 3 meter diameter was made by around 50 volunteers who decided to have some fun or simply to relax in untraditional way. After five hours of patient work at Town hall square made The Small Carpathian volunteers beautiful colourful harmonic piece of art – mandala with vineyard topic.

 

They started to work on mandala creation already before noon. The REVIA foundation volunteers prepared the working space between the church and the old town hall. They placed there the ladders, attached the base and took care about the material consisting of salt, smashed coloured chalks which were used for creating the scheme. The people passing by joined very soon six REVIA volunteers. The biggest interest about trying to create their own mandalas came of course from the smallest ones. They got special small mandala schemes, which they were able to fill in by themselves. So besides the main huge mandala, also 25 kiddie minimandalas were created.
 The final piece of art was really huge, 10 kilograms of salt and 5 packages of colourful chalks were used for mandala decoration. The mandala was decorating the square around two hours after completion, than it was literally tracked up.
The mandala creating has proven that in our region, there are still living people, who care about development, improvement their environment, and rising the attractiveness of our region also via untraditional activities, they bring in some beautiful ideas and they do not hesitate to be helpful.
Unfortunately, we can still find some people who not only don’t want to join helping with region improvement, but they do not even appreciate the acts of the others and don’t hesitate to destroy the achievements of their work.
Despite of that, the mandala creation reached its goal, which was set by REVIA foundation.
Although mandala is not at the square anymore, at least the ones, who were decorating it and who saw it, won’t forget about this special event. It doesn’t matter if it will be because of reason which told us one girl from the volunteers with a huge smile: "I am not gonna forget about the mandala at least until the time, when my mussel fever will disappear."(laugh)
 
But according to the fact, that mandala really put together for a few hours tens of people, who created together something really beautiful and so they proved that when there is will of making something nice together, it is possible to do it even with a smile on their faces.
