REVIA – our name has been chosen to capture the character of the region where we live and which we help develop. Vinegrowing is typical of the area and the Slovak
word ”réva” stands for vine. The Latin word ”viva” signifies ”living” and ”via” means ”way”. So the name REVIA can be understood as ”the living way of vine”.

Small-Carpathian – since 10th September 2001 REVIA has been working as a successor of Sami-Sebe Community Association (established in 1996) in the Small-Carpathian region covering cities from Vajnory to Trnava - 20 villages and cities with around 160,000 residents.

Community – REVIA supports active people who do not hesitate to help where needed – at a place where they live in their community. The Foundation functions as the bridging element between public, business and nonprofit sectors to achieve higher quality of life and better living environment in the region.

Foundation – we are a public-benefit non-governmental nonprofit organization governed by Slovak legislation Act. No. 34/2002 and its bylaws. It is listed in the Register of Foundations of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic as No. 203/Na-96/623. The Foundation raises and manages assets for public-benefit purposes in accordance with its mission.
